Haul: NYX & O.P.I!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been M.I.A for a while! School's been 

pretty much taking over my life. Lol. Anyway, I went to Ulta

the other day & purchased some goodies! :)

 I bought a few nail polishes from the new Katy Perry O.P.I collection.

The first one is the famous Black Shatter. I'm LOVING it!
One coat is all you need (because it'll shatter anyway). ;)
The second one is Not Like the Movies. It's a pretty gray color that has a purple, green-ish sheen to it. SO pretty!
It's pretty opaque in 2 coats.
Last, but definitely not least, Teenage Dream. I think this was the second most talked about polish right after the Black Shatter. It's a sheer pink with loads of glitter! There's big chunks and fine chunks of glitter in it.

                                          

I finally picked up some more NYX Jumbo Pencils!

 

(from Top to Bottom)  

Milk: basic white 

Pots & Pans: basic silver

Iced Mocha: taupe-y brown

Cottage Cheese: iridescent white 

  I love these! I owned two others, so I was really excited to add to my collection of these.
FYI, you do need a primer under these and apply a thin layer because they WILL crease!

               

  Lastly, I picked up a couple of the NYX Rouge Cream Blushes.

 (from Left to Right)
Natural: IMO, it's a peachy blush.

Boho Chic: blue-toned baby pink.

(kind of reminds me of Viva Vlam Gaga lipstick?)

 I'm not really liking these two products right now. I find they can be a little hard to work with. 
I will definitely have to keep playing around with them, and I'm determined to find a way to make them work. :)

Face of the Day: 3/3/11

Hello everyone!

I did one of my all time favorite looks today using mostly drugstore products, (that's always nice)

& I wanted to share it with you!

It's a look that's very simple, easy for me to do & in my opinion, 

school appropriate with a few minor tweaks here and there.
(P.S. Please excuse my hair in the pics! Bad hair day! haha)

-Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

-Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer in #10 Ivory to Fair

-Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer in Ivory Light 2-3.5

-Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Sand Medium 0-1

*Eyes:

-Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

(from lid to browbone)

-Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips in Sunset Strip

( mix of 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shades on   lid, mix of 4th & 5th in crease)  

-Maybelline Quad in Natural Smokes

(dark, matte brown in outer corner & lightest shade as highlight)

-Jordana Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner in 01 Black

Look using: MAC Caviar Dreams e/s Quad

When the MAC Cham-Pale collection was released back in 2010, I was very excited.

The entire collection was pretty much pale, neutral colors (right up my alley).

I'm pretty new to MAC, so at the time I didn't own any of the eyeshadows.

I picked up the Caviar Dreams eyeshadow quad, which consisted of:

 Brule: soft creamy beige, Satin finish & is permanent

Retrospeck: beached blonde, Lustre finish & is permanent

Et tu, Bouquet?: frosted pale pink, Frost finish & is a repromote

Caviar Dreams: dirty frosted pewter, Lustre finish & limited edition

Nails of the Day 2/26/11

Hello everyone! I wanted to do a quick post before I head out to a birthday party.

Friday night, one of my sisters & I went to get our nails done at a nail shop near our house. 

She got acrylics & I just got a manicure.

I wanted to show you how my nails look(:

I chose O.P.I Java Mauve-a 

& over that, she applied a clear polish with silver glitter.

 

 

 Since my nails are already long, she suggested doing just the tip, 

as that would elongate them a bit more.

*Overall, I was really satisfied with how they turned out<3
